BSides Canberra
The BSides Canberra Organising Group is a volunteer team passionate about growing Australia’s cyber security community. Since 2016, they’ve built BSides Canberra into the country’s largest hacker conference - while keeping it community-focused, technically deep, and welcoming.
Outside the conference, the team supports year-round learning and connection through events like CSides and initiatives that promote diversity and inclusion in cyber.
Sessions
HackerChix is a relaxed networking event for women attending BSides Canberra. Whether you're new to the community or a returning regular, come along to meet other women in cyber security, share stories, and build connections in a welcoming and inclusive space.
Open to anyone at the conference who identifies as a woman, this is a great chance to take a break from the buzz of the main event and enjoy some low-key conversation with like-minded people. Drinks and light refreshments provided.
No panels, no pressure - just a space to connect.

After an incredible night last year, YTCracker, int eighty and DNZ are returning to the stage for BSides Canberra 2026, bringing nerdcore, hacker culture and plenty of energy back to Friday night.
YTCracker, MC, DJ and pioneer of nerdcore, known for his Nintendo-inspired NerdRap Entertainment System album and performances at DEF CON, Players Ball, and alongside Snoop Dogg, Xzibit and Ice Cube.
int eighty, the voice of acclaimed nerdcore duo Dual Core. With a worldwide following across hacker and nerdcore circles, Dual Core are known for clever, high-energy tracks that have become firm favourites in the security community.
dnoiz, bringing Australian rap talent back to the BSides Canberra stage after joining us for the first time in 2025.
There’ll be a bar tab, food available for purchase, and plenty of space to catch up with friends old and new.
