BSides Canberra 2024 Call-for-Presentations & Call-for-Events

[OVERVIEW]
BSides Canberra 2024 will be running on the 26-28th September 2023 at the National Convention Centre in Canberra, Australia. BSides Canberra is an opportunity to showcase your novel research or discoveries to a large crowd of 3,500+ delegates.

[TOPICS of INTEREST]
BSides Canberra is a conference focussed on deep, technical understanding of topics related to computer security. We encourage people from all areas of security to consider submitting to the CFP.

BSides Canberra does not seek or accept money to secure a speaking spot or to host an event. You have to earn your part in the conference through careful consideration by our CFP review board. When you fill out your application please elaborate as much as possible on your talk or event.

Careers Village - talks to direct & inspire people looking to move into/around in cyber security
Linux Kernel Hacking - talks focussed on the Linux Kernel

[SPEAKER/EVENT HOST BENEFITS]
If your talk is selected, you will receive a speaker badge that gets you in to BSides Canberra for free. Speaking at BSides Canberra is a great way to meet others interested in your topic. BSides Canberra will promote your presentation, link to your social media, blog, or web pages you desire.

Before BSides Canberra, there is a speaker dinner. Speakers in the main track will be invited to meet the CFP review team and all the other speakers before the main conference kicks off. After BSides Canberra, with your approval, your professionally recorded presentations can shared on our YouTube, website and social media sites.

[CFP SUBMISSION]
Talks will be 55 or 25 minutes including questions. All submissions must be conducted over the CFP submission platform. Submissions will be accepted until the 31st June 2024, midnight AEST. Make sure to get in your submission early to give us time to rate it and increase the chance of the talk being selected
